Mappings

Mappings is a sculptural dialogue between the visible and the invisible, between personal experience and collective imprint.

Through the transparency and fragile materiality of the glasses, I seek to capture pathways, connections, and moments that leave their traces across space and time.

Each glass functions as a small station for collecting memory and experience—sometimes accumulating, sometimes remaining isolated, and sometimes connecting with others to create a network of fragile yet tangible relationships.

The wires that connect them evoke invisible flows of communication, exchanges of words, emotions, and information, forming an ongoing cartography of human journeys.

The use of everyday, humble materials is intentional. Through their displacement and recontextualization within the space of art, they acquire new value, revealing the beauty of simplicity, the fragility of connection, and the significance of the fleeting.

The work remains open, just as the map of our lives remains open—filled with possible paths, choices, and destinations.

The Little Prince

A work created with papier-mâché, inspired by Saint-Exupéry’s fairy tale of the same title.

Snoopy and his friends

A work created using various materials (papier-mâché, polymer clay, plaster gauze).

The Flame of Freedom Flies into Space

The Statue of Liberty emerges from the Earth to ignite the flame of freedom held by the astronaut floating in space.

The Present Is Inextricably Bound to the Past

Papier-mâché, wire, thread, and other materials come together to create a depiction of the Parthenon in the form of a contemporary ballerina holding an ancient Greek lyre in her hands.
