Art is my personal way of giving form to my thoughts, of imprinting my soul onto material surfaces.

Within the details of lines and textures lie emotions and creativity—from the initial idea and the first sketch, to capturing a photographic moment, engraving, inking, and finally the process of transferring the image onto the surface.

The subjects I explore in my work are those that allow for an investigation of people and the spaces in which they exist, through lines and traces that redefine notions of identity and truth.

The Human Figure and Its Surroundings

I am interested in people and their relationship with the spaces that surround them. I am fascinated by the lines of faces, expressions, subtle gestures, and emotions revealed through the interaction between people and the city.

The City as a Living Organism

For me, the city is a living organism. The lines of buildings, streets, volumes, and human figures come together to form an ever-changing landscape. Within it, I seek at times tenderness and humor, and at others, the reflection, tension, and harshness of everyday life.

    Syros–Athens, interior living room.

    The figure of the sleeping person, curled up in the seat, draws attention not only because it evokes a sense of temporary isolation and a need for protection, but because the sterile mask of safety is transformed into a sleep mask.

    It points to vulnerability: a person asleep, a person who has temporarily withdrawn from the world, retreating into isolation and seeking the need to create, even for a little while, a safe space of their own.

    Mixed techniques

    An allegory of independence, or of the human need—and refusal—to define one’s own boundaries? The cat does not apologize, does not try to please, and above all, has no interest in conforming.

    Behind the humor lies a clear stance: a refusal to accept the obligation to embrace everyone and everything. There are always two fundamental choices: I approach or I withdraw; I accept or I reject; I participate or I resist.

    At the heart of this lies a deeply human need—the need to be ourselves without constantly having to justify our choices.
